Thursday 17th of July 2025. Anchored off El Rompido.

Shallow river entrance, unfavorable times of high water and strong winds from the south west every afternoon mean that I am stuck in this river unless I want to sail at night, which I don't. It's like a lobster pot, I breezed in and I cant easily get out again. What's the story here? His forsail has come loose and flogged itself to death. But the mainsail too? the owner won't be happy when he returns. But What's this? The cabin doors are open, is he onboard? Or have the contents been ransacked?

Wednesday 9th of July. River Guadiana. Back in Ayamonte.

Zipwire across the river Guadiana from Spain to Portugal. Ready! Going! Gone. For any doubters out there.

Tuesday 8th of July 2025. Sanlucar, after a few days in Albufiera.

Up the river Guadiana with Margaux. Helmsman not happy being photographed. Luckily, we are between heatwaves here in Sanlucar, only 31 degrees and a strong breeze. Perfect. Albufiera.
