Moved to Puerto de Mogan for a change of scenery. Sunset on the cliff face. View from my anchorage

Sunday 16th of November 2025. Crossing to Gran Canaria. Anchored in Playa Cura.

Strong winds arriving tomorrow for the foreseeable future, if I don’t cross now I risk being stuck in Tenerife when my flight leaves from Gran Canaria in 10 days time.

Tuesday 11th of November 2025. Marina del Sur. Las Galletas.

I've booked into the marina here at Las Galletas for 4 nights. Bad weather is expected on Thursday, maybe very bad but fortunately I am very close to Los Christianos where I expect to find a surfeit of Irish bars to while away the hours while Nomad gets a thorough washing. 'Red Mountain' which I passed along the way. It is right next to Tenerife South airport. Friday 14th. The clouds have finally lifted and I get my first view of Mount Teide 3718m, a volcano, it's the highest peak in Spain and nearly three times higher than Ben Nevis. It doesn't look much from here but I suppose that's because it's nearly twenty miles away.

Monday 10th of November 2025. Anchored in Playa de Medio,

Not pretty but a good anchorage.

25th October 2025. Back on the boat.

Friday 31st October.  Still here in Radazul in the hope that my repaired autopilot sent from Portugal over three weeks ago will turn up, long story. Today a young girl in the 40 foot yacht next to me disembarked alone and steered the boat out of the marina. Yesterday she went up the mast to replace a bulb at the masthead. I had been expecting a boyfriend or her dad to pop their head out of a hatch at some stage since she arrived but it seems I was mistaken. She really was alone.
