Saturday 3rd of May 2025. Back on the boat. La Pobla.

The bus from Alicante stopped in Benidorm on the way to Valencia and I was expecting the Bulldog pubs and fish and chips shops but not skyscrapers, lots of them, like a mini Manhattan, the place is huge. I wanted to spend time there out of curiosity but I probably won't bother now.

I've arranged to have the boat lifted out here to do my maintenance, cleaning and antifouling and it should have been done on Friday but the winds were to strong for the crane to operate safely (they say - it just happened to be an unofficial public holiday - another one) so it will be done on Monday which means I'll be here for most of next week which is a shame because this place is really boring.
