The sea is still lumpy after yesterday's high winds so I haven't gone very far. It's a great anchorage here in Torrevieja, in the heart of the town and very sheltered. The sea off Torrevieja is full baby Portuguese men of war jellyfish, for miles and miles. I love the name of the marina, Hercules marina. In mythology, a gigantic statue of Hercules was believed to straddle the Straits with one foot on either side of the narrow passage.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny that Spain are happy to keep hold of Ceuta, yet want Gibraltar returned to them.
