Good thanks Jules. I had meant to stay in Culatra until my trip to the UK in October but it became too boring, sat on the anchor with nothing to look at but sand, nowhere to walk, nothing happening, I've decided to bring my trip down to the Canaries forward. Heading off tomorrow.
I'll be here or hereabouts for the next 3 months. Not for the first time the Vesuvians have gatecrashed my party. For a moment there I thought it was my imagination, but then this!
The sea is still lumpy after yesterday's high winds so I haven't gone very far. It's a great anchorage here in Torrevieja, in the heart of the town and very sheltered. The sea off Torrevieja is full baby Portuguese men of war jellyfish, for miles and miles. Edit: they're not baby Portuguese men o war, they're: https://www.majorcadailybulletin.com/holiday/beaches/2025/04/04/132335/mallorca-beach-little-sails-like-jellyfish-invade-puerto-pollensa-covering-beaches-around-mallorca.html#goog_rewarded
You needed some new scenery? How are you doing?

DeleteThat´s exciting news, Brendan. Will you be stopping off at Madeira on your way down?
ReplyDeleteHope you don't see too much of the elephant man on the way😜I'm buying you a soft wool cap for Xmas.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing your news from the Madeira.
