Saturday 29th March 2025. Cartagena marina.

Booked into the marina in Cartagena for a couple of nights to stock up on groceries. From the marina the town looks to be very nice. This was my anchorage last night, beautiful and remote. Not all of the Spanish Mediterranean coast is lined with bars and hotels. The gusts of wind as I was leaving were ferocious and I lost two hats.

I didn't get very far although it was downwind all the way. Carbonera. Notable for it's huge cement factory.

Wednesday 26th of March 2025. The Costa Blanca.

Thank goodness. On the move again. Going around the very distinctive Cabo de Gata from the Costa del Sol into the Costa Blanca. The Cabo de Gata lighthouse. First test of my wind vane self steering contraption. Very happy with it but it needs some fine tuning. It doesn't make noise and flatten my batteries like the electric ones.

Monday 17th March 2025. Arrived back at Aguadulce marina.

Back on the boat again and once again I've missed biblical weather that made the news over here and maybe even back in the UK. I found the boat to be perfectly dry and take great satisfaction in knowing that it is down to my expert use of a silicone gun, a practise frowned upon by serious boat owners. The forecast is for strong winds for another week, I don't expect to be going anywhere until after the weekend.

February 27th February 2025. Start of this blog.
