I remember this place, Brendan. It´s the only ugly blot on what is a beautiful, unspoiled coastline, much of which is a national reserve area. (Btw, the name Carbonera has the root word "carbon" = coal, so it must have been a coal mine in its past?)
This whole area has been mined since ancient times for all sorts including gold I think. And there was me thinking that it had something to do with pasta.
